Welcome back to the Chicago Low-Income Housing Trust Fund’s First Friday Blog Series! Each month, we share resources, updates, and practical tools to help Chicagoans navigate housing and community support services.

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on the Chicago Coordinated Entry System Access Points—critical hubs that connect individuals and families experiencing homelessness, or at risk of losing housing, to the help they need.

What Are Access Points?

Access Points are walk-in locations where trained staff provide Coordinated Entry assessments and updates. These assessments open the door to housing opportunities, supportive services, and long-term stability.

When in-person visits aren’t possible, the Phone Access Point is also available at 312-971-4178:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Why This Matters

The Coordinated Entry System ensures fair and equitable access to housing resources across Chicago. By beginning at an Access Point, each person is guided through a standardized process that helps match them to the right resources quickly and effectively.

At CLIHTF, we believe housing is more than shelter—it’s dignity, stability, and the foundation for opportunity & we are dedicated to providing safe, sanitary & affordable housing. Sharing these resources is one way we can help remove barriers and strengthen the support network for our neighbors.
