At the Chicago Low Income Housing Trust Fund CLIHTF, our mission has always been clear: to ensure that Chicago’s most vulnerable residents have access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. For more than 30 years, we have helped thousands of households including seniors, individuals with disabilities, working families, and those emerging from homelessness remain in their homes and communities.

Today, that mission is more critical than ever.

Due to significant reductions in city and state funding, we are facing unprecedented challenges. These changes have forced difficult decisions, including limiting the ability to reassign subsidized units as they become vacant. The result is fewer opportunities for families in need to access housing support at a time when demand continues to rise.

That’s why we are proud to announce our 1st fundraising reception:

A Night of Impact

Friday, June 5, 2026
6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Leslie Hall, Cornerstone Center at LaSalle Street Church 111 N Wells St

This special evening will bring together community leaders, partners, and supporters for a night of connection, reflection, and action. Guests will enjoy dinner, live entertainment, and an open bar while hearing powerful stories about the impact of housing stability and the urgent need to protect it.

Our goal is ambitious but essential: to raise 100,000 dollars to support Chicago’s most vulnerable renters and launch an Emergency Tenant Assistance Fund to help households navigate unexpected housing crises. Every ticket purchased and every dollar raised moves us closer to preserving housing stability across our city.
